Gaudenz Freuler
Gaudenz Freuler is Professor Emeritus of Art History at the University of Zurich. He is the author or co-author of numerous books and articles on Early Italian painting and illumination of the 13th to 16th centuries. He has taken part in important scholarly projects such as the Corpus of Florentine Painting and has curated and co-curated exhibitions on Tuscan and Early
Italian art for prestigious institutions (Uffizi and Accademia Galleries, Florence; Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; Thyssen-Bornemisza Foundation), and he has written the catalogues of notable collections of manuscript painting.
